How to Future-Proof Your Remote Workforce in the Age of AI with Faith Natividad

Building a global talent agency requires moving beyond simple transactional placement toward people-first frameworks and adaptable tech-enabled systems. In the remote staffing and BPO sectors, integrating artificial intelligence with deep human support enables organizations to scale sustainably across international markets.

On an episode of the Scale You Podcast, hosted by Le-an Lai Lacaba—co-founder of an Executive Assistant Agency, 2xYou—sat down with Faith Natividad, founder of Digital Workforce Group. Faith shared her journey from suffering a mild stroke brought on by corporate burnout to building a 100% Filipino-owned, bootstrapped workforce ecosystem that serves 200 clients across five continents and supports hundreds of Philippine remote professionals.

From Corporate Burnout to a Purpose-Driven Agency

Faith began her career spending over 15 years in corporate sales, international business development, and client acquisition—frequently traveling across the US, Australia, and New Zealand to pitch offshore services.

However, intense workplace pressure and sales targets took a severe physical toll. At age 29, Faith experienced a mild stroke alongside compounding health conditions, resulting in a sudden corporate redundancy.

Driven to build a purpose-centered venture rather than returning to standard employment, Faith pitched her business plan to international investors and prospects, navigating dozens of rejections before securing her first US client.

“I had to undergo 99 noes… pitching to various people just to get their thoughts about my baby, but I had to go through a lot of failures just to get that one solid yes. And fast forward to today, we're able to cater to five continents.” — Faith

Rather than establishing a traditional outsourcing firm, she launched Digital Workforce Group as a talent ecosystem—combining recruitment, remote staffing, corporate events, retention programs, and skill development.

The 80/20 Rule of International Business Development

To acquire and retain international clients across five continents, Faith applied an 80/20 consultative acquisition model:

Strategic Client Acquisition Principles:

  • Consultative Positioning: Acting as a strategic business partner rather than a transactional salesperson, focusing on administrative friction points.

  • Illuminating Pain Points: Spending 80% of initial discovery calls listening to prospect bottlenecks—such as recruitment delays, rising onshore overhead, or poor candidate retention.

  • Affiliate Referral Conversion: Transitioning long-term clients into referral partners, turning successful client outcomes into an organic growth engine.

Turning AI Disruption into an Agency Revenue Driver

When rapid AI adoption reshaped digital roles, Digital Workforce Group faced client disengagements in standard marketing, graphic design, and SEO positions.

Rather than resisting automated tools, Faith completed prompt engineering and digital transformation training at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) to restructure her agency's workforce strategy.

Transforming Operations via AI Literacy:

  1. Internal Talent Upskilling: Training internal HR, recruitment, and marketing teams on advanced prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows.

  2. Deploying AI-Augmented Roles: Repositioning traditional remote roles into AI-driven positions capable of delivering higher output for global clients.

  3. Founder & Executive Coaching: Expanding agency offerings to include AI strategy workshops and business coaching for entrepreneurs looking to integrate content creation and AI sales systems.

“It was a turning point of everything… We transformed how we do business. It was all about being agile, being proactive, and doing something about it.” — Faith

Work-Life Integration and Sustainable Leadership

Reflecting on her 6-year entrepreneurial journey, Faith attributes her agency's retention rates to prioritizing work-life integration over short-term profit margins.

By establishing specialized retention policies—including flexible leave structures and emotional wellness check-ins—Digital Workforce Group creates a supportive workplace culture. Furthermore, Faith converts long-term key team members into board members and business partners, ensuring shared alignment as the company expands its ecosystem.
