How Cap Hernandez Scaled Uncapped Digital and Taught Introverts to Master Sales

Many entrepreneurs believe sales requires an aggressive, extroverted personality. However, scaling a business successfully often relies on authentic connection, clear systems, and leveraging personal strengths rather than high-pressure tactics.

On an episode of the Scale You Podcast, hosted by Le-an Lai Lacaba—co-founder of an Executive Assistant Agency, 2xYou—sat down with Cap Hernandez, founder and CEO of Uncapped Digital Marketing and PGA Creatives Agency. Cap shared his journey from a music student overcoming personal setback to leading a 196,000+ member creative community, mastering LinkedIn client acquisition, and empowering introverts to excel in sales.

From Music Student to 20-Year Sales Veteran

Cap’s path into business began unexpectedly. Studying at the UP Conservatory of Music, a personal heartbreak motivated him to enter the corporate world and prove his ability to build a stable financial future.

He launched his sales career in a high-rejection environment—calling 100 cold leads a day for a credit card agency using printed phone lists, a pen, and a ruler.

“I really learned sales by doing that… Calling 100 names per day using paper with a list of names, a ballpen, and a ruler because the font sizes were really small. I learned sales by doing.” — Cap Hernandez

Over the next two decades, Cap expanded his sales expertise across FMCG, IT, medical equipment, and digital marketing. He transitioned from head of sales at a digital agency to freelancing, eventually becoming a country manager for an international digital ad agency before founding Uncapped Digital Marketing.

Discovering Ikigai: Combining Sales Mastery with Teaching

A major turning point in Cap’s entrepreneurial journey came when he completed an Ikigai alignment session. Realizing his intersection of skills and passion lay at the junction of sales expertise and teaching, Cap refined his agency’s core focus.

Rather than trying to serve every market with generalized digital marketing services, he niched down into two distinct pillars:

  • LinkedIn Client Acquisition: Helping founders, business owners, and freelancers build personal brands and generate inbound leads.

  • Selling for Introverts: Teaching non-sales professionals how to leverage practical, systemized frameworks to close deals authentically.

By focusing his positioning, Cap transformed his agency model—offering done-for-you LinkedIn management alongside workshops, corporate training, and advisory services.

Delegating Admin to Scale Agency Operations

Like many founders, Cap initially operated as a solo entrepreneur—handling graphic design, content creation, operations, and administrative tasks simultaneously. Recognizing that administrative overload hindered business growth, he began delegating internal operations to focus entirely on sales and strategic partnerships.

Keys to Agency Delegation:

  1. Appointing Operations Leadership: Transitioning an internal team member into an Operations Business Manager (OBM) role to manage client fulfillment.

  2. Specialized Strategic Partnerships: Partnering with specialized agencies for non-LinkedIn social channels (such as TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram) rather than stretching internal bandwidth.

  3. Focusing on High-Value Tasks: Directing executive time toward sales, brand building, and community leadership.

Leveraging Custom AI for Content and Lead Systems

As a certified master trainer and early adopter of AI tools, Cap integrates artificial intelligence directly into his sales and content workflows.

To prevent generic outputs, Cap trains custom GPTs on specific brand tones, frameworks, and client intake questionnaires:

  • Humanized Content Frameworks: Using AI to bypass writer's block and structure post drafts, while injecting authentic personal stories to maintain genuine audience connection.

  • Quiet Solutions Framework: Providing introverted founders with structured AI prompts to extract insights and build authority-driven content.

  • Client-Specific GPTs: Customizing content engines for agency clients based on detailed target audience parameters.

“I make sure that I humanize my content by sharing stories. AI helps me create content, but because it really knows my tone of voice, it stays authentic.” — Cap Hernandez
