Today we're going to talk about How To Grow With Video As An Introvert
Hi, I’m Le-an and I’m an introvert.
In the last three years, I’ve created a thousand pieces of content. This has been through Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and almost every platform.
I experimented a lot.
I've also started doing one video a day on my phone.
Before I became one of the speakers at WordCamp, I did Toastmasters for a year but that was basically it. I was shy and I was like, you know what, let's do this! Let's build the brand, let's get out of this “being an introvert” and now I have produced 15 to 20 pieces of content a week across all platforms.
A lot of this is because we have an amazing team at 2xYou for the marketing side but it is a lot of work and it is a lot of those things where I'm thinking to myself, who am I again? Why can't I just go back to reading my books and writing content?
With this, I have just been doing it all for working from home. Most of my videos and my home setup, even had my bed shifted a little bit to look more professional but I did just start with that.
I bought a secondhand camera from Carousel and bought the microphone secondhand from someone else. I started from scratch and I did all of this during the pandemic.
Now I've been growing a community of people and making money from it at the same time. I have affiliate links and I’ve got clients for my business. I would get someone out of a sales call to say, “Yeah, I was watching your video of how to hire a virtual assistant and it's pretty cool. I want to work with you.”
That's the kind of growth that you can see in the video, it's not just with your own confidence, not just with your growing content but you can actually start bringing business with it.
